When is the best time to have my ultrasound?You can schedule your "First Peek" session any time after the 6th week of pregnancy. You can schedule your "Gender Reveal" session any time after 15 weeks of pregnancy. This allows our technologist to make a confident decision on your baby-to-be's gender. You can schedule your "3D/4D/5D" session any time after 25 weeks of pregnancy.

Can I have family and friends come to my appointment?Yes! We encourage you to bring family members and friends to share in this magical moment. We can comfortably seat 6, but more people than this are also welcome.

Are ultrasounds safe?Womb in Bloom chooses to employ sonographers registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Songraphers (ARDMS). ARDMS sonographers know the right frequency to use to obtain the best images. Over 35 years of testing, and following the proper use of ultrasound has shown zero side effects. What is the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D?"2D images refer to black and white still images. 3D images refer to a still color image. 4D/5D images refers to a live, static image, in real-time.

What kind of machine do you use?We use a state of the art G.E. machine. G.E. is the current leader in 3D/4D technology, and Womb in Bloom strives to equip the best machines in the industry.

Will my visit be covered by my insurance?Unfortunately not, since this is an elective ultrasound. Your health insurance will only provide coverage for medically necessary exams.

What types of payments do you accept?Womb in Bloom accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MC, and Discover) and cash. At this time we do not accept checks.

Who is going to be scanning? Are they qualified?Womb in Bloom only hires technologists registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. This means that they have gone through rigorous training and have graduated by an accredited school.

Will you be able to tell if the baby if a boy or girl?Yes, our technologists do their best to determine your baby's gender during your visit. However, at times your baby might not be cooperating. If our technologist is less than confident, then we invite you for a free follow up exam within a week.

Do I need a full bladder or should I drink a lot of water?The more hydrated your body is, the more transparent the amniotic fluid is and the clearer the pictures. Being well hydrated can greatly improve the clarity of the 3D/4D/5D images. We reccommend a full bladder if you are less than 18 weeks pregnant. We also reccommend a light snack or juice before your session to help your baby wake up and move around.

Do I need a note from my doctor or a prescription?No. Because Womb in Bloom is an elective ultrasound business. A prescription, note, or order is not necessary. Keep in mind, that your appointment with Womb in Bloom is not a substitute for your diagnostic ultrasound. If you need a diagnostic ultrasound, Womb in Bloom recommends calling Prestige Diagnostics 530-691-1117 and scheduling your diagnostic ultrasound through them.

Do I need to have an appointment?At this time, Womb in Bloom does not take walk-ins. However, in most cases, we can accommodate same-day appointments.
